The Final Nail in the Coffin of your JW Career
by jookbeard ini know there has been countless threads on this, some say the paedophile scandal, others say the blood ban, some say the conduct of their elders, others say the petty rules etc.
but there is usually one thing that seals every one's fate, tips you over the edge,finishes you off.i was fading, very closely to full inactivity, off the book study list, and very sporadic meeting attendance, which took me to the very last time i set foot in my kingdumb hall, this is what happened;.
it was the memorial of 1994, i hadn't set foot in the place for months, but thought a show at the memorial would keep the wife happy and the elders at bay for a bit longer, i drove to the hall being careful not to get there too early(the wife was already there and had saved me a seat) i walked up to my seat about mid way in the hall so a lot could see me, it was packed probably about 200 there, as i sat down ( about 3/4 mins to go) a sister in front of me turned around and said"we haven't seen you in a long time!

Perhaps, to destroy all of Christianity, all one has to do is find (not subjective allegations) that the gospel writers lied, no?
No, one needs to find concrete and compelling evidence that they were telling the truth.

Did u have a well trained conscience?
by Newborn ini think i did and that was one of the things that eventually made me leave the org.
i just couldn't take living with a bad conscience constantly.
when i left this was one of the things that disappeard first and it was as tons were lifted from my shoulders.

Idols (not the ones you're thinking of)
by IMHO inwhy do people idolize other people such as the 'famous' in film, music or sports or even in 'the congregation'?.
why do people 'look up' to or 'look down' on other people?.
i thought the bible teaches that we are all equal!.

They want an example to follow. They look to people who are famous & liked as examples to follow so that they themselves may be liked. Idols are often imitated, & the imitation is an attempt to become more popular.

No one desputes that the scrolls were ever prophecy free, what is desputed is that they were (with the exception of Jesus) written before the prophecies were fulfilled. The burden of proof is on you to find evidence that they were written before, evidence which has not been found.
In the case of Jesus and a few others, there is very little evidence that these prophecies were fulfilled as there is little evidence that Jesus existed, let alone did the things that the gospels said. There are no contemporary references to Jesus, the earliest mention of him was decades after he was said to have lived.

Everytime i fill a cup with water, & i see that the water fits the cup perfectly, i thank the creator for designing the water so that it would fit that particular cup.
